Snow Shoeing

There are many scenic walks around Meribel and Mottaret as well as the nearby valley of Courchevel and La Tania. In fact, Mottaret boasts a nature reserve where no skiers are allowed.

Snow Shoeing also offers non-skiers the chance to meet up with friends and family for lunch at the mountain restaurants.

  • Perfect for the non-skier or skiers wanting a break from the pistes.
  • Discover peace and solitude "off-the-beaten track".
  • Snowshoe walking – as relaxed or as energetic as you wish, suitable for all ages.
  • A guide is highly recommended to discover the forest, silence and places unexplored.
Husky Sledging
Go back to the an old method of winter travel and be in charge your own traditional Alpine sledge and team of dogs, driving them along and through the twists and turns of Meribel-Village’s forest. On arrival, you are immediately introduced to your prospective team of huskies, who will be in control of your blood pressure and excitement for the next couple of hours so treat them well!
Paragliding

Want to try something completely different? Want to see things from a different perspective?

Then paragliding is activity for you. For the ultimate exhilaration, soar above the ski runs in another dimension, experience the silence, taste the freedom of flying in perfect safety.

Paragliding is a daytime mountain activity this means it can only operate when the weather conditions are right for flying and during ski lift opening and closing times.

Paragliding flights take off daily, weather permitting, between the hours of 0930hrs and 1630hrs.

Snow-mobile

This has to be one of the most popular events with thrill seekers. The bikes can take 1 or 2 people at a time and there is also the option of swapping over half way through the activity.

This means everyone has the option of being in control, being controlled and then just totally out of control! There is an option for more experienced riders or complete adrenaline junkies to go on a safari style course.

In Meribel snow-mobile rides operate 7 days a week, hourly from 17:30. Depending on the excursion they cost between €40-€120 per hour per person .

Ice Skating

The ice rink is located in the Olympic Sports Centre, it was used in the 1992 Olympics and you can now watch regular ice hockey matches.

Open from: 1430 – 1900 (Last entry 45 mins before closing) Ice Hockey Matches held there every Thursday from 2030

Adults: € 4.50
Children (5 to 13): € 3.00 – Free of charge for children under the age of 5.
Ice skate rental: € 3.00

Bowling

Another of the Olympic Centres fantastic facilities is the 6 lane bowling alley. There is also billiards, video games, a bar, a wide screen TV, and snacks.

The bowling alley open everyday between 2pm - 8pm, and from 11am in the morning if the weather is bad.
